About Us
WBSC is a registered charity established July 1986. Our mission is to empower women and girls in Walsall.

Our organisation was born out of the racially motivated tension an uprisings that took place across the country in the late 80s in response to severe racial discrimination that was being place upon black and other non-white ethnicities.

We have been established for nearly 4 decades and is led by women who have lived experience of the people that we support. Through various services designed to accommodate women through all stages of life, from adolescence to elderly, we are empowering the women in our town.

We believe every Black woman and girl has the power to make a positive impact in their community and the world.
Our Mission
“To initiate and promote projects and events, which support the progress and development of Black women and their families in Walsall and the wider West Midlands region.”
Walsall Black Sisters Collective has grown over the years to become a well-known organisation in Walsall and the Black Community. The organisation has developed projects to focus on the needs of children, youths, adults and the elderly.

Walsall BSC has evolved into an organisation that responds to the needs of all communities. Our services targets support to people who are in need regardless of their social status, ethnic origin, age or gender. We offer an open service to improve the quality of life of disadvantaged and vulnerable communities.

Our Vision

WBSC provides community activities to empower and develop deprived BME communities from various ethnic, religious and cultural backgrounds in Walsall; addressing inequality and bringing long-lasting change to encourage community cohesion, cultural respect and a diverse community we can all be proud of.
